Positive Choices for Your Health

Is your life too busy to find time to take care of yourself? After a day packed with work, running the kids around, cooking meals, doing chores around the house, and hopefully trying to find some quality time with your family, the last thing you may want to do is put your body through the rigors of an exercise program. Finding the time to work out would be nice, but
being realistic it is just too far down on the list of priorities to take serious.

You remember when staying in shape used to be effortless. You could eat whatever you wanted and never gain a pound. If you had to run down to the store to pick something up
you could actually complete that physical task. Now those days seem to be gone, further into history than the dinosaurs. You look helplessly at your ever growing gut and your
increasingly atrophying muscles, and wonder where did it go? When did it get away from you? Why can’t you get it back?

These are the reasons I am publishing this blog, because that was me ten short years ago. I was fortunate enough to have someone take enough interest in me to show me that it is never too late. I started slowly, ever so slowly, but found that with each little goal reached, my self esteem increased ever so slightly. As the weight of my inactivity started to fall
away, my energy level started to move to new heights. Without even realizing what was happening, I started to enjoy the regular routine of working out, gave me the framework to
build my health on. Suddenly I looked at fast food for what it was, a life drainer. The healthy simple choices in diet and activity became easy to make. Why drive a short distance when it wont kill me to walk.

It was no secret what happened. I set realistic heath goals, achieved them, set new health goals and so on. The key for me was to understand that if I took no action then nothing would change. I would be stuck in a downward spiral of unhealthy habits pushing me uncontrollably into low self esteem, and even more dramatic an early grave.

So if any of this sounds familiar, what you find on my pages may be just what you need to help you get started in the resurection of your health.
