Easy tips that will help you to stay heathy
Thinking of a life insurance? As every life insurance broker will tell you, the status of your health will considerably influence the price of your insurance policy. Have a look at some of our tips – staying healthy could be fun!
Staying hydrated
Most people think they drink enough fluids – and mostly they are wrong. If you don’t take care of your hydration, you can end up with skin problems, trouble concentrating or even with a stroke.
Staying hydrated isn’t that simple, because many adults ignore the early signs of thirst. Anyway, we’ve done the math for you: if you drink at least 10 fl oz of water per 16 pounds of your weight every day, you should be all your body needs.
Eating less more times a day
Eating is supposed to give us energy, but eating a lot at once can actually have quite a tiring effect. What you need to do instead is to eat smaller portions more often, preferably 5 or 6 times a day.
Don’t know what a good night sleep is?
Having trouble getting to sleep? Maybe all you need is to sleep less! Why not find out how much sleep your body actually requires? The following night go to bed really late and allow yourself to sleep for only 5 hours. If you fell asleep the moment your head touches the pillow, add 30 minutes to your time the following night. You can keep adding more time as long as you sleep during the whole night. You will experience much more energy during your day if you get rid of the tossing and turning.
Quit smoking
What actually happens inside of you when you give up smoking? In only 24 hours the chances of you suffering from heart attack decrease and your nerves starts to re-grow; within 48 hours you will be able to smell and taste properly . Just 30 days are enough for you to get rid of that grueling cough and for your lungs to get back to normal (unless you already damaged them invincibly).
Have you got a pet?
Many studies conclude that having a pet, especially a dog, contributes to your health by decreasing your blood pressure and heart rate.
Because of more exercise that comes with owning a companion animal, your heart rate and blood pressure get back closer to the more healthy level.
Take a vacation
Everyone needs to take a break from time to time, some people once a year, some more times a year. But in fact it’s not you having a break: in fact it’s your heart! Frequent vacation decreases the risk of heart attack and you are therefore up to 8 times less likely to suffer heart attack if you go on holiday at least twice a year.
Laugh out loud
It’s generally known that laughing improves your health, but did you ever wonder how exactly? Believe it or not, laugh could protect you from a heart attack: laughing lessens a stress hormone that has been linked to heart disease, lowers your blood pressure by expanding your blood vessels.
