5 Things You Should Know About Using Laxatives to Lose Weight

For a number of years now, some people have resorted to “unusual” ways in which to lose weight. Unfortunately, laxatives for many people seem to be the answer to their problem. Well, this article is going to point out the reasons why you should NOT use laxatives when trying to lose weight.

The first thing to understand about using laxatives, is that although they may help digest your food a little faster than normal, using them on a regular basis will actually cause you a lot of pain. Avoid using laxatives unless you want to suffer a lot of pain when trying to lose weight.

Secondly, if you suffer from constipation there are other methods to open your bowels and relieve the tension as such. Drinking lots and lots of water is the most natural way of relieving constipation. Drink it before meals and after meals and at least eight glasses a day. Add more fibre rich foods to your diet as they help to speed up bowel movement.

Thirdly, if you are on any sort of medication currently, laxatives can actually make your medication less effective. In many cases they can actually remove any effect your medication is supposed to have for you. This is a great reason to avoid them.

Fourthly, the only thing you will lose by taking laxatives is water and body fluids. You will not lose fat with them. To become thinner and lose weight you need to burn fat and not lose body fluids. Taking laxatives will actually end up with your body becoming dehydrated. They collect water from your body and then pass them through your bowel movements. When this happens you will lose all your water and become dehydrated.

If you use laxatives and this happens, you could possibly be misled or fooled into thinking you have lost weight, but in reality you have not lost any fat, which is what real weight loss is all about.

Lastly, when your body becomes dehydrated through using laxatives it will begin to store water so that it can survive. Better known as water retention, this will make you feel bloated and will actually increase your weight.

The truth is if you use laxatives to try to lose weight, you will actually end up weighing more. Avoid taking laxatives at all costs because not only will you end up heavier, but it could have a detrimental effect on your overall health.

So there you have it. If you are considering using laxatives, then I hope the information in this article will help you to realise it is a bad option to consider?

The Best Way To Lose Lots Of Weight – What Is The Best Way To Lose Weight?

If so then this article will be of great assistance to you as I’ll be discussing the best way to lose lots of weight by a diet which actually makes you burn fat from eating, no this isn’t the negative calorie diet or some fad. This diet can be maintained year round and is actually healthy for you in many ways. It is one of the best ways to lose lots of weight. So What is it?The diet is called calorie counting and what the overall impact and idea behind the diet is that you will boost your metabolism to its peak levels by eating. It works off of the idea of metabolic confusion, this is a situation where your body never allows its metabolism to relax because the types of calories you consume every day are different and at different times. You see your body is constantly adapting to your eating habits, once it adapts it will lower your metabolism. So even if you’re eating a very strict low carb, low fat, low anything diet your body will see this and adapt very quickly to slow down your metabolism to match the lowered amount of calories being consumed. The same goes for a normal diet, your body eventually adapts and your metabolism slows down. Most People Don’t Know that they CAN Control their Metabolism!Even though most people assume that their genetics dictate how effective their metabolism is, this simply isn’t true, the fact remains that there are things you can do to directly impact how effective your metabolism is. One of these things is eating, which most people are virtually completely unaware of. However a sophisticated system must be in place to allow the metabolism to become more active. This is where calorie shifting comes into play.If you’re still trying to figure out how to lose lots of weight try calorie shifting! Burn Abdominal Fat Quickly

Ways to Burn Abdominal fat include the use of natural methods, pills, supplements and tummy fat burner foods among many others. Abdominal fat is very stubborn and most people fail to completely remove it. There are however, ways to burn the belly fat fast although more slower and natural ways are more recommended. Flabby abdominal fat can be unsightly and inconveniencing. Fat accumulated at the abdomen is usually the last phase in any successful burning of fat program. This is because the fat deposits are more solid than those in other areas. When trying to burn abdominal fat, natural methods are best to avoid distressing bodily functions. Although most people believe that sit –ups are the quickest way to burn abdominal fat, it may not recommend for the first stages. Sit-ups for an overweight person might be very exhausting and not only do they run the risk of giving up on the program, but it may cause some other undesired effects. An overweight person should always have a physical fitness test done before starting strenuous physical activity like in a gym. You should therefore avoid doing sit ups at home, more so if you feel you are beyond the average overweight scale limit. I have so far read and practiced one natural program that I believe is perfect for people that want to burn abdominal fat quickly as is naturally possible. It is always good to remember that the fat deposits on your belly has taken a long time to accumulate, like wise you should give it time to burn. Consistency is key to any program that helps you burn abdominal fat fast. Our use of the word fast here is relative to the time element we have just discussed above. The only pure natural way that uses moderated exercises and fat burning foods was developed and tested by Tom Venuto. Tom is a body builder with an experience of 25 years, has a Bsc. In Exercise Science, is accredited by a dozen American fitness associations, a certified personal instructor. He has also won the Mr. Natural USA and North America. He developed and tested his program on himself for the last 18 years. The results are as you can see in his muscular photo by following the link below. Tom is the kind of person who has experienced what he trains and is not all theory. He walks the talk.

Fat Burners- A Great Help or a Waste of Money?

Copyright (c) 2009 Stephen Smith

Thermogenics (fat burners), is the name given to a group of compounds that have the effect of speeding up metabolism.

Thermogenesis, as the name suggests, means the production of heat within the body ['thermo': heat, 'genesis': the beginning]. Heat is a by-product of energy production. Therefore, if more fuel is burnt up by the body, more heat is generated.

Some examples of thermogenics include certain foods, herbal extracts and fruit extracts. For example, capsaicin from chillis; caffeine from coffee, tea or guarana; and oxedrine from citrus aurantium.

The most powerful fat burners are supplements that contain combinations of various thermogenic ingredients in concentrated forms.

Fat burners are often used by people wanting to lose weight. They help to create an energy deficit by increasing the body’s overall energy expenditure.

Each day the human body burns energy. The total energy expended comes from three areas: the basal metabolic rate, any exercise performed and the energy used by the body in digesting food. If a fat burner is used it increases the energy expended in the basal metabolic rate and during exercise.

For example, during a day a person may burn 1500 calories (6300 kilojoules). 70% of those calories may come from their basal metabolic rate (1050 calories), 20% may come from their daily exercise (300 calories) and 10% from digestion (150 calories).

If they then take a fat burner, particularly one that contains several powerful ingredients, their daily calorie expenditure may increase to 1800 calories. Of those calories, 71.33% may come from their basal metabolic rate (1284 calories), 20.34% may come from their daily exercise (366 calories) and 8.33% from digestion (150 calories).

By increasing the calorie expenditure each day it becomes much easier to create a calorie deficit and therefore lose weight. So if our person in the example above, consumes 1500 calories from food during the day, without a thermogenic their body fat and weight will remain the same (calories in equals calories out).

However, if they eat (and drink) the same amount of food but also take a fat burner, then they will have a calorie deficit that will need to come from their body’s energy stores, resulting in a loss of body fat and weight.

It is important to note that if their food intake is not controlled or they don’t perform any exercise, then it is highly likely that using a fat burner would not be of benefit in helping them lose body fat or weight; they are not ‘magic pills’. You can’t expect to take a couple of capsules, then go home and eat pizza and drink alcohol and expect to get results.

Thermogenics only work when their use is combined with a good nutrition and exercise program. They simply help you achieve your weight loss goal faster.

Thermogenics are also used by people who simply want an energy boost. If you feel tired during the day or if you want a ‘pick-me-up’ before your exercise session, then thermogenics can certainly help. Thermogenic ingredients stimulate the nervous system helping to boost your energy and increase alertness.

For best results thermogenics should be taken twice a day on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes prior to meals or before exercise and should not be taken after 4:00pm as they may interfere with sleep. Also, it is best to ‘cycle’ their use. This means use them continuously for a maximum of eight weeks and then have at least two weeks off. This prevents the body from becoming desensitised to the ingredients.

There are several very effective thermogenic supplements on the market that can accelerate progress towards your goal. Those containing guarana and green tea extracts along with other powerful herbal extracts like coleus forskohlii and evodiamine are the most effective. They boost your metabolism and promote the use of fat for fuel in your body. It is also best to choose thermogenic supplements in capsule form rather than pill form because the ingredients are more readily absorbed.

They may be used by most people but because they have a powerful effect on metabolism they are not for everyone. In particular, people with high blood pressure or who have heart problems should avoid their use. Also people under the age of 18 or over 65 should avoid them also.

Furthermore, if you are considering using thermogenics, it is essential to see your doctor first and obtain their approval.

If you have tried getting into shape in the past but haven’t got the results and if you are willing to make some changes to your nutrition and exercise habits then thermogenics will certainly help.

How to Choose Fat Burner Pills That are Right for You

There is a lot of talk about weight loss fat burner pills these days. From TV infomercials, to print ads, and internet websites it is hard to decide if these types of supplements will fit into your weight loss program.

If you are at that point in your weight loss journey that a fat burner may be an option then there are some things that can help you determine whether or not you should use one and which one will give you the results you desire.

The first thing you need to consider is your general overall health. Fat burner pills, for the most part do not cause any side effects or health problems but checking with your doctor before hand can be important, particularly if you do have any underlying health issues or are taking prescriptions medications.

If you are just beginning your fat burning efforts it is a good time to get a complete physical as well.  This will help rule out any underlying health problems that may be further aggravated by taking such a supplement.

Probably the most important thing to consider when choosing a weight loss fat burner pill is what kind of diet and exercise program you intend to use one with. This is probably one of the bigger mistakes people who take a fat burner supplement make.

These are not miracle pills that will work all on their own. But when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise they can help you meet your weight loss goals much quicker. You need to make a choice based on your own expectations. Fat burner pills do work but they are not the end all and be all of weight loss.

Serious consideration needs to be made lifestyle changes that will allow you to keep the weight off long term. The final choice as to which weight loss fat burner to use rests with you. If you are motivated to lose the weight and make the necessary lifestyle changes they can be a great way to help you meet your goals.
