Are Cannondale Mountain Bikes Worth The Premuim Price?
I have the choice of buying a Cannondale F6 disc for around £360 or a Scott for similar money. I went to check out the bikes at Evans cycles and I felt that the Cannondale was far better built but the spec was rather meagre. The scott had hydraulic discs and a better saddle. However the other day I saw a Saracen Trace 1 for only £299 which is made from butted aluminium, has awesome brakes and magnesium suspension forks by rockshox that are better than the cannons dart 2 type. Should I buy according to spec? Or does the Cannondale name offer better geometry for the price? I currently ride a pretty basic halfords special so anything would feel a major improvement!

I’m looking to buy a new mountain bike for $500 to $1000. Cannondale’s look great, but I’ve been out of the biking world for a while. Are they still good bikes?

Riding My Cannondale 400 Mountain Bike In Maine
Cannondale’s Mountain Bikes are innovative and quality products that inspire cyclists to explore their native lands. My name is Jon Hilton and love riding my Cannondale around Maine, especially Greenville home of Cochran’s Farm. The Cochran boys Chip, Tris and Bucky all skied on the US Ski Team and were committed to physical health. It is while watching them compete that I discovered my love of bicycling.

I recently peddled my Cannondale 400 to Greenville while my lazy buddy Mike Martin followed behind me in his old Honda Accord. Our purpose for the trip was to see if all that exercise helped the Cochran boys stave off the aging process. In 1983, the Cochrans began supplying high quality private label vitamins, herbal extracts, sports supplements and functional foods to the world from Beyond a Century located on the Lily Bay Road crossed from Mike’s own 100′ Acre Woods. The woods where we once found a turtle with the letters DAN painted on its back.

Through conversation with some of Mike’s relatives who work at Beyond a Century, I learned that Bucky was running the family business. I rode my Cannondale 400, with Mike in tow, up route 15, through the blinking light and on to the log cabin, which houses the health supply operation.
After walking through the main entrance, I saw a young person working at the counter who resembled Bucky so much I knew it has to be his son. I ask the young man if his father was around. He told me that his father was up in the gym and that he was running Beyond a Century now.
I said that funny because I was told that Bucky is running the place. He said “I’m Bucky” and I nearly feel to the floor. It really looked like all that exercise really paid off. Bucky had the looks of an eighteen-year-old boy and I was convinced that riding my Cannondale 400 all around and using suppliments provided by Beyond a Century, was my best chance to live a long and happy life.

So, what did I learn in Maine, while riding my Cannondale Mountain Bike? If you want to look young and brilliant like Bucky and not old and wrinkle like most of my contemporaries, take private label vitamins and supplements from Beyond a Century and exercise just like I do, when I ride my Cannondale 400.
