Over the the past few riding sessions, the crank of my MTB has increasing friction/tightness while pedalling (greatest while reverse pedalling). What can be the cause and what is the remedy? It is a high performance Cannondale mountain bike.

its not on there website, only the old models are, but i would say a little more than 30 pounds
